2001 Caterham R400 SV (210bhp)

About this car

A rare opportunity to own an original R400 with a K Series engine but this time in a SV chassis. This car is presented in excellent condition save for the odd stone chip and is ready to use on the road or track. This car further benefits from having a custom made rear exit exhaust to keep the decibels down!

This car has just been through the workshop having covered zero miles since the cam belt and water pump were replaced. We have also replaced the engine oil, filter and coolant at the same time.

The full specification includes:

• 1.8 Rover K series engine with roller barrels, VHPD head and Apollo tank
• Caterham 6 speed gearbox
• Ford differential with ZF LSD and 3.6CWP
• Wide track
• Height adjustable Bilstein dampers
• Black pack
• Heater
• Full weather equipment
• Big brakes
• AP Racing brake master cylinder
• Aero filler cap
• Heated screen
• Track day roll bar
• Leather seats
• Driver and passenger harnesses
• Quick release steering wheel (recently re-trimmed wheel in dark grey alcantara and yellow stitching)
• KN 8 spoke alloys (6 inch front and 8 inch rear) with excellent condition Avon ZZS tyres
• ACES SureShift2 shift lights
• Carbon dash/stone guards/door sills/dive planes

This is one of the nicest R400’s we have seen for some time and it benefits from being in a wider chassis. This car is MOT’ed until early August but will be supplied to the new owner with 12 months MOT and 3 months warranty.

We welcome any inspection on this car and can be contacted via email or telephone to arrange a viewing.

Please note that the number plate will stay with the car.
